A fire panel does not tell you where anything is. It tells you Open Circuit at L2:M18(SW), Zone 12. Unless you know that building well enough to translate that in your head, you are reading a logbook, ringing a contractor, or walking the site to find out what it means.

Site maps close that gap. The address becomes a marker on the plan, and anyone looking at the screen can see where it is.

Your building's own plan, with every device on it

Magnifire does not draw you a generic floor plan. It uses the block plan you already have, the one mounted in the fire control room, and pins every device from the panel onto its real position. Zones stay the colours your plan already uses, so the map matches what a brigade officer or a warden is looking at on the wall.

Every alert arrives with a place, not just an address

Open any alert and the map is already there, zoomed to the device that raised it. You see the marker, the zone it sits in, and what else has come in nearby, which is the difference between one dirty detector and something moving through a building. If a device has not been placed yet, Magnifire highlights its zone instead of guessing.

Built for the screen on the control room wall

Every panel across every site as tiles on one screen. When an alarm comes in, that site takes over the display with its map, the device marked, and the live alarms and faults rail beside it.

A new alarm brings its site to the front automatically, with the plan filling the screen and the device marked. Multiple alarms cycle so nothing sits hidden behind something else.

Alarms sound a chime as they arrive. Faults are quiet by default, and any organisation that wants them to take over the screen and sound as well can turn that on.

A running list beside the map covering every site, each entry showing the device, the message, and the zone and address it came from. Click one to bring up its map.

Set up for your room

Runs full screen and keeps the display awake. Acknowledgement and auto-focus are per-organisation settings, and any individual screen can override auto-focus locally.

Getting your devices on the map

The part people expect to be painful. There are three ways to build the device list, and you can use all of them on the same panel.

From the panel configuration

Upload the configuration file from the panel and Magnifire reads the device list out of it: address, loop, point, zone, and description. Known export formats are parsed directly, and unfamiliar ones are handled by AI, then reviewed before anything is saved.

From your alert history

Your panel has been reporting addresses since the day it was connected. Magnifire mines that history and suggests the device list from what has actually come through, which also surfaces anything that has drifted from the original configuration.

From a walk test

Start learn mode and walk the building triggering devices. Each one is captured as it arrives, in order, ready for the technician to name and confirm. Useful when there is no export and no useful history.

Whichever source you use, every device is normalised the same way and reviewed by a human before it goes live. Placing the pins is then a drag onto the plan.

Common questions about site maps

It does the job people buy a graphics package for, without the hardware. A traditional fire graphics system is a dedicated PC wired into the panel, installed by a specialist and quoted accordingly. Magnifire uses the block plan you already have, runs in a browser on any screen, and comes with your subscription. If you already have a graphics package, Magnifire sits alongside it and gives you the same picture off-site.

Most buildings already have something that works. The sprinkler zone block plan mounted in the fire control room is the usual choice, but an evacuation diagram, an architectural floor plan, or a site layout all work just as well. Upload a PDF or an image, pick the page, crop to the area you want, and that becomes your map.

Three ways, and you can mix them. Upload the panel configuration file and Magnifire reads the device list straight out of it. Mine your existing alert history, which builds the list from addresses your panel has already reported. Or run walk-test learn mode: a technician walks the building triggering devices, and Magnifire captures each one as it comes in. Every device is reviewed before it goes live, then you drag pins onto the plan.

Yes. Add a plan per level, per building, or per area, and order them how you like. A device is placed on whichever plan it belongs to, and alerts open on the right one automatically.

The alert still opens the map and highlights the zone the device belongs to, so you narrow it down to an area instead of a whole site. Magnifire never guesses which pin an alert belongs to. Matching is exact, on the panel address, so a marker is only ever shown when it is the right one.

That is what it is built for. Wallboard mode fills the screen, keeps the display awake, and shows every panel across every site as tiles. No, and deliberately so. The wallboard is built for a screen that stays on: a monitor in the control room, a TV on the wall, a tablet on a desk. Full screen mode and the live alarms and faults rail are available from tablet size up. On a phone you get the part that actually suits a phone, which is the single alert with its location on the map, opened straight from the notification.
